Why are the custom markers so expensive?

Fair question - and you're right, the brass blank isn't the expensive part. What you're really paying for is what happens to it. Every marker is engraved using a process we've spent years perfecting (and that nobody else has), then hand-finished - about 2 to 4 hours of work per marker, depending on the size and detail of your photo. There's no shelf to grab these from. Yours is made once, just for you, and it has to pass our standard before it ships. If a marker isn't right, we redo it until it is - however many tries that takes. And if yours arrives and you don't love it, we'll do whatever it takes to make it right. That's the promise behind the price.

Can I get my engraving on one side and leave the other side blank?

We hear this one a lot, and we get it - sometimes a clean, simple look is the goal. Here's our honest answer: every marker that leaves our shop carries the Pin-Hi Golf logo. Think of it as our signature. Every marker is engraved and hand-finished by us, and that little logo is our promise that what you're holding met our standard. If you'd love a simpler look, our Double-Sided Custom Marker is a great fit - your photo on one side, and a clean face with just our logo on the other. One thing we're upfront about: a simpler side doesn't lower the price, because our engraving and hand-finishing time is the same either way. Every marker gets the full treatment.

Do you offer bulk discounts?

Sure! If you're ordering just 5 or more ball markers of the same design, we offer a 15% discount on the order.

Engravability

Choose a clear, high-resolution image with good contrast. Faces and pets look great. If we see issues (too dark, low-res, busy background), we’ll reach out with recommendations before engraving.

What makes your markers different from other "Custom" markers?

Most use flat 2D surface engraving. Ours are true 3D, tactile relief from a depth map, then hand finished (brass black, wire brushed, lightly sanded, buffed) for detail that pops and a premium patina.

Is the marker USGA legal?

Yes - both sizes. Our 40mm and 50mm Giant markers are made to sit within USGA rules, so you can mark your ball with confidence in tournament play or a casual weekend round. The 50mm Giant simply gives your photo more room to shine.

How long does it take to make and ship my marker?

Production typically takes 3–5 business days, depending on current demand. Shipping speed depends on the option you choose at checkout. You’ll receive tracking when it ships.

Can you engrave logos or brand names?

Only if you own the rights or have written permission. We can’t engrave copyrighted, trademarked, or prohibited content without authorization. When in doubt, contact us before ordering.

How do I care for the brass finish?

Solid brass develops a warm, natural patina over time - many golfers love how it ages. For everyday care, wipe your marker with a soft, dry cloth after your round and avoid harsh chemicals. When the tarnish builds up and you want that original shine back, a light pass with ultra-fine (0000-grade) steel wool lifts it right off and restores the luster - then buff with a soft cloth.

Do you offer design services?

We don't offer design services. If you need assistance in creating a design, you can explore AI image tools such as ChatGPT, Google's Nano, xAI's Grok, or Midjourney. For human support, Fiverr has a wide range of skilled professionals.

Returns/Remakes

If you are unsatisfied with your finished product, inform us, and we'll do our best to ensure your satisfaction. Return the marker for a full refund within 30 days of receipt, or request a complimentary revision for a remake.
